The Institute of Mercantile Agents was founded in 1961 and has represented and elevated the standards for collectors, investigators, process servers and repossession agents.  Our members, across Australia and overseas, are dedicated professionals who work with top financial institutions, legal firms, companies and individuals.

The IMA represents professionals in debt collection, investigations, process serving and repossessions. We are committed to ethics, compliance and best practices across the industry.

The IMA promotes the interests of members through advocacy, education, support and collaboration.
